AURI Seeks New Board Members to Further Value-Added Agriculture Innovation in Minnesota

The Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI), seeks two diverse and highly skilled candidates to serve on its governing Board of Directors to fill open seats for a term of three years each. One of the open seats must be occupied by representatives from the agribusiness, while the other is an at-large seat, which is open to individuals with a variety of professional experiences.

“The ideal candidates for the open positions should demonstrate a strong interest in moving the value-added agricultural industry forward, as well as a belief in AURI’s values of respect, dedication, teamwork, trust, resourcefulness, enthusiasm and safety,” said AURI Board Member, Jerry Hasnedl. “At the same time, candidates need to have skills in the areas of business expansion, rural or economic development, entrepreneurship and leadership as they relate to AURI’s mission.”

Each elected board member will serve a three-year term with a time commitment of up to seven meetings per year and some industry-related activities, which occur at various locations throughout Minnesota.

Interested parties should submit a resume, brief biography and letter of interest to hr@auri.org by December 5, 2018.  Organizations recommending an individual should send a letter of support by the same date. Election for the open seat will occur during the AURI Board of Directors meeting on January 17, 2019.
