About this report:

This report examines whether a glucose meter could be used to determine the lactose content of milk.

Conclusions:

This rapid and simple technique for measurement of lactose can be used at‐line during manufacturing or processing. This test will allow manufacturers to improve process control and product quality.

Project Outcomes:

The new test procedure will save dairy manufacturers time and money and will improve product quality and processing efficiency.
