The Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI) will host a discussion on how emerging renewable hydrogen technologies can add value to the agriculture and biofuels industries at its annual Minnesota Renewable Energy Roundtable on Dec. 6, 2023
Hydrogen is expected to play a crucial role in ongoing efforts to decarbonize and transition to cleaner energy. The 2023 Renewable Energy Roundtable will focus on how green hydrogen production will support continued rural economic development based on biofuel and bio-based products.
Speakers from leading utilities, businesses, academic and federal research institutions, and state government will discuss the latest developments and opportunities across the landscape. Sessions will highlight how hydrogen can be used in fertilizers, electric power generation and biofuels across Minnesota and the U.S., the process of hydrogen-mediated carbon dioxide utilization, and how an emerging distributed renewable hydrogen infrastructure, relying on carbon-free power, can integrate into the existing biofuel and agriculture framework.
