Growing Indoors: The Future of Controlled Environment Agriculture in Minnesota (Part One of a Two-Part Series)

AURI Connects: Fields of Innovation — Growing Indoors: The Future of Controlled Environment Agriculture in Minnesota (Part One of a Two-Part Series)
The Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry holds considerable promise for enhancing Minnesota’s ability to feed more people by extending growing seasons and producing high-value agricultural products indoors in a northern climate. AURI, in partnership with Fields of Innovation sponsor, Bremer Bank, will delve into this emerging sector of food production by hosting a two-part series in February and April 2022.

PART 1  — a panel discussion with industry thought leaders who will discuss trends and innovations shaping the future of the indoor agricultural production industry in Minnesota and beyond. The webinar will look at the systems and practices of CEA, while examining how technology and innovation can drive development of an economically viable CEA industry with a strong focus on local food production and environmental sustainability. Opportunities and challenges facing the industry will also be explored, as part of a wider discussion of how emerging developments in technology and consumer demand will shape the future of CEA in Minnesota.

AURI Connects is proud to present this two-part Fields of Innovation indoor agriculture series, sponsored by Bremer Bank, to highlight the innovations and market trends creating new opportunities for the growth of indoor agricultural production in Minnesota and other northern states.
