Soybean Business, the magazine of the Minnesota Soybean Growers featured an article on the Agbioscience as a Development Driver: Minnesota Agbioscience Strategy report.
“It became a discussion of ‘what industries do we have here, what research and teaching institutions do we have and what are they good at, as well as what opportunities are there to capitalize on all these strengths ,’” says Mike Youngerberg, director of field services for Minnesota Soybean and lead staff on the New Uses action team. “We’ve never really taken that deep of a look before from the agricultural perspective to see what’s out there for opportunities for agriculture to connect with new or different industries than we worked with in the past. Or it might even be a mix of new and existing connections. We think the opportunities could be tremendous.”
