Nan Larson is the AURI Connects Manager. Larson executes the planning and implementation of the AURI Connects virtual, hybrid, and in-person events. This includes managing and leading event-specific teams with a focus on impactful outcomes and implementing AURI event processes.
The purpose of AURI Connects branded events is to actively engage the value chain on topics related to value-added agricultural opportunities and challenges. The vision of the program is to improve the competitiveness of agricultural producers, businesses, and entrepreneurs through the ongoing, purposeful connection of resources and partners along the value chain and increased knowledge of opportunities, technologies, and trends.
Larson has a B.S. in Political Science/Public Administration and an M.A. in Urban and Regional Studies from Minnesota State at Mankato and is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council. She has a 30+-year working history in the economic development field, with an emphasis on strategic partnering, facilitation, planning, and management. Larson is also a member of MN Agricultural and Rural Leadership (MARL) Class X.
