The Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI) is hosting an interactive seminar on energy efficiency and novel thermal technologies in food and agricultural processing at the 2024 Minnesota Renewable Energy Roundtable on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. The event will be held at the Maple Grove Community Center in Maple Grove, Minnesota. In-person and virtual attendance options are available, and media members are invited to attend. Visit the event page to register.
Combined with renewable energy derived from biomass feedstocks, energy conservation efforts specific to the food and agriculture processing sector are critical tools for meeting sustainability goals.
Attendees will discover:
- How mechanical vapor recompression and hot rock heat storage can drive energy efficiencies.
- How energy efficiency opportunities attract, expand, and retain jobs in local food and ag processing.
- How energy efficiency technologies for process steam can lower a processing facility’s energy expenses and reduce its carbon footprint.
- How combined heat and power systems allow entities to double dip on one’s fuel budget.
