Novel and Specialty Crop Series, Part 1: Contract and Market Development Pathways

Join us on Thursday, March 21, 2024 (12:00-1:30 p.m. CT), when the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI) kicks off a three-part virtual ag innovation series focused on supply chain development for novel and specialty crops in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.

There are many considerations to diversifying your crop rotation with a novel or specialty crop, such as understanding the agronomic practices and how to get paid? Do these crops stand alone, or will they require stacked incentives, and if so, how long? Who catalyzes early aggregation efforts as new crop adoption scales up? Who carries the burden of establishing early supply chain infrastructure? What are the pathways, gaps, and mechanisms to create market stability and commercialize new crops?

AURI presents this webinar in partnership with Bremer Bank and Avisen Legal, sponsors of AURI Connects: Fields of Innovation 2024.

Funding for this project was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).
