Participants at the Minnesota Renewable Energy Roundtable in Willmar were given a front row seat to discussions happening in Washington D.C. related to agricultural appropriations and renewable fuels discussions. Seventh District Congressman Collin Peterson told the nearly 100 people gathered at the MinnWest Technology Campus that the renewable fuels faces challenges due to prevailing attitudes towards the industry.
“The timing for being here is interesting because we had probably the biggest happenings in Washington around biofuels that we’ve had in a long time,” Peterson said.
Peterson made his comments a day after the U.S. Senate voted to end ethanol blenders credits.
