Lively political debates and the latest in farm equipment and technologies brought strong crowds out to Farmfest 2010. Thousands of those visitors made their way through the AURI tent to sample food, ask questions and learn more about what is happening in value-added agriculture.
“Farmfest offers us a great chance to talk one on one with people who have specific questions or are just interested in finding out what agricultural innovations are emerging,” says Dan Lemke, AURI communications director. “This year there was a lot of interest in the biobased products like corn and soy-based plastics and also in what is happening in new bio-based energy. Of course food samples are always a hit, too.”
