Food industry operations are looking seriously at the option of digesting their own residues and receiving benefits of on-site renewable energy generation. Early adopters are installing these systems and the next wave of adopters could achieve great benefit from the experiences of these pioneers.
A series of webinars will include information on a case study, sponsored in part by AURI, that provides information on industrial biogas production facilities that exist in the upper Midwest. This information will be valuable to other similar facilities with the potential to install anaerobic digestion technology for waste disposal and energy production.
Increased public information on use of anaerobic digester technology in the food industry can help improve the profitability and competitiveness of these businesses, promote use of clean renewable domestic energy, aid job retention, and create new jobs in construction, materials and system design businesses.
The free webinars are being put on by the Energy Center of Wisconsin. More information and registration is available at selectra.co.uk/energy/guides/market/energy-center-of-wisconsin
