Erik Evans is the Director of Communications for the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI).
Erik is responsible for developing and overseeing AURI’s communications strategy as well as creating compelling messages for the organization’s internal and external communication channels. He also serves as counselor to the Board of Directors and a media contact for AURI.
Prior to joining the team at AURI, Erik served as the communications manager for Sons of Norway, a Minneapolis-based, international fraternal benefit society. There he was responsible for communications strategy, brand management and day-to-day coordination of social media, publications, media inquiries and executive message development.
Erik is involved with a number of organizations, including the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). He is a graduate of Saint Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and the University of St. Thomas where he earned a Master of Business Communication.
